This is Devon -- A teenager has been arrested after he was allegedly in possession of a knife while in class at a Plymouth school. Just after 11am yesterday police received a call from the Marine Academy school in Kings Tamerton in Plymouth with the report that a student was in a classroom holding a knife. At the time it was not clear if anyone had been threatened. Officers were immediately deployed to the school. A police spokesperson said: "When police arrived the boy was alone in a classroom as staff had requested all other students leave the room around the time of the incident. "On request the boy put the knife down and was then searched by police." No one has been injured during this incident. It is understood that no one was actually threatened by the boy with the knife. The 13-year-old boy has this morning been charged with possession of a blade and will appear before South and West Devon youth court on April 5.
