This is Tamworth -- THREE men are to appear at court tomorrow (Friday, March 22) charged in connection with 15 robberies at Co-op stores across the Midlands – including one in Tamworth. Ryan Landon Shaw (19), of Sedgebourne Way, Northfield, Birmingham, and Jani Joseph Wright (24), of Conybere Street, Birmingham, were arrested in Bridgnorth on 31 October 2012. Amandeep Singh (25), of Salisbury Road, Birchfield, Birmingham, was arrested the following day, 1 November 2012, in Bartley Green, Birmingham. The arrests were part of a regional investigation into the robberies, led by Staffordshire Police, under the Operation Viper banner, which also involves West Mercia, Warwickshire and West Midlands forces. The men are due to appear for a plea and case management hearing at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, March 22 having previously appeared before magistrates.
