PUMAS and Lynx drew 2-2 in what was a typical top-of-the-table clash in the Amherst Junior League.

The ever dangerous Apollo McEwan opened the scoring for Lynx with an accurate corner which found the roof of the net.

Then Pumas' Cahal Keating went on a mazy run down the right flank and finished superbly for the equaliser.

Oscar Watkins of Lynx snatched the lead back with a cool finish to his obvious delight.

However, the Pumas were not finished and with a few minutes remaining, Keating slid the ball home for a well-deserved equaliser.

Tigers beat Jaguars 6-2 in a real end-to-end treat for the spectators. Both teams started strongly but it was Tigers' Isaac Arnott who opened the scoring.

With their tails up the Tigers pushed on and scored two further first half goals through the impressive Daniel Record.

The Jaguars came back strongly in the second half, Jacques Malan pulling one back for his team, Thomas Ayrey then adding another.

The Tigers though fought back scoring three more via Sean Lenaghan, Isaac Arnott and Record.

In the seniors games Kings and Bears drew 2-2.

Ben Baillache opened the scoring for the Bears with a typically cool finish.

The Bears pressed forward down the right and a cutback from the byeline reached Piers Firth who slid the ball into the bottom corner.

The Kings responded with Richard Holmes pegging one back and continued the pressure, eventually equalising through William Booth whose well-struck ball flew over the keeper.

Aces beat Colts 6-3 in a breath-taking game which could have delivered more goals. Harry Endenburg finished with a total haul of four goals, and Jacob Quinton-Hale with two.

On the stroke of half-time, Colts had given themselves a lifeline with a goal from Evan Jenner but, despite two excellent solo efforts from Bobby Beke, Aces' counter-attacking speed helped them home.

A hat-trick from Charlie Ramos helped the Rams to a 4-2 win against Wolves.

Rams took the lead after ten minutes when Ramos calmly poked the ball into the net after a goalmouth scramble. Ramos took advantage of an excellent corner from Matthew Penollar to double the lead, and for a while it looked as though Rams would run riot.

The fact they did not was down to Wolves taking control of midfield and it was a pass from Joseph Wells that started the move which pushed Harry Prowse through to score to bring Wolves back to 2-1. Two minutes from half-time, Prowse followed up with the equaliser.

In a frantic second half Penollar enabled Leon Frangos to score for Rams.

They then wrapped up the game when a speculative shot from Ramos bobbled on the pitch over the unfortunate Williams to make the final score 4-2 to Rams. Reported by This is 6 hours ago.
